Äänekosken Energia Oy is an energy company owned by the town of Äänekoski. It is responsible for the energy service and water supply for the town and its vicinity. In 2014,  Äänekosken Energia Oy’s district heat sales equalled to 114 GWh and its electricity transmission equalled to 118 GWh. Its annual water supply to its customers equals to over a million m3.

Äänekosken Energia Oy uses Planora Oy’s Iisi-Netti services extensively in its operations. These include mapping, maintenance, archives and photo application services for its district heating network and water network.
