Heating plant in Pirkonsuo

In order to increase the share of bioenergy in its production of district heating energy, Kalajoen Lämpö Oy built a 4,0 MW wood pellet heating plant next to its existing heavy fuel oil heating plant situated at Pirkonsuontie. The planning and design of the wood pellet heating plant began in 2014 and the plant was completed in the fall of 2015.
